Our Story...

Bonjour! I'm Stéphane, and together with my wife Laure, I'm proud to welcome you to Farmhouse Artisan Cheese, Oakville's only dedicated cheese shop.

My love of food began early. I spent much of my childhood in my aunt's gourmet shop in Normandy, surrounded by the aromas, stories, and traditions that define great food. It was there, between wheels of cheese and shelves of artisanal specialties, that I discovered the pleasure of sharing good products with good people, a passion that has stayed with me ever since.

When we got married in 2020, Farmhouse crafted the charcuterie board for our wedding. Experiencing the shop as customers on such a meaningful day reminded me how special it is when a local business becomes part of someone's family moments and celebrations. It's a responsibility and an honour that I understand deeply.

In June 2024, Laure and I took over Farmhouse and our vision was simple: to create a place where exceptional cheeses, meaningful food stories, and genuine hospitality come together. Every cheese in our counter has been tasted, selected, and loved before it arrives to you. From small Canadian producers to iconic European classics, I believe cheese should be about discovery, conversation, and pleasure.
